This product (“Postmoni”) is owned, operated, and administered by the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST), a government agency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Postmoni by NIPOST is an electronic money order service that enables individuals in Nigeria to send and receive money globally with a self-service mobile financial application. It leverages the Universal Postal Union Interconnection Platform (UPU IP) infrastructure, to harness the extensive network of postal operators worldwide, enabling swift and secure cross-border transactions.

This Privacy Policy explains how Postmoni collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and oversight by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

2. Data We Collect

In the course of enabling providing cross-border transactions (services), Postmoni collects the following categories of personal data:

a. Identity & KYC Information

  • Full name
  • Gender
  • Date of birth
  • Residential address
  • Phone number and email address
  • NIN, or other government-issued identification (where required)

b. Financial & Transaction Data

  • Bank account or wallet details
  • Transaction amounts, dates, references, and status
  • Payment and settlement information

c. Recipient Information

  • Recipient full name
  • Destination country
  • Bank or mobile money details

d. Technical & Usage Data

  • Device information
  • IP address
  • App usage and activity logs

3. Purpose of Data Collection

Postmoni collects and processes personal data for the following purposes:

Your continued use of the Platform after the updated Policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revisions. If you do not accept the changes, please cease using or accessing the Platform.
